Aircore drilling utilises hardened steel or tungsten blades to bore holes into unconsolidated ground — preferable over RAB as it provides a more representative sample by preventing cross contamination.


The KL unit has a top head drive with an Ingersoll Rand 750cfm x 250 psi compressor powered by a M11 Cummins diesel engine with onboard hurricane booster. The dump mast has a 3.5m stroke and being mounted on an Isuzu 6x6 carrier makes this a very adaptable machine.
Depths that can be drilled are 150m Aircore & 100m light RC. Fitted with a hydraulically operated cyclone and splitter, hydraulic breakouts, dual air spanner system, onboard dust collector and safety cage.


Delivered new in 2013 this machine is mounted on a 6X6 Scania. Based on an Austex X300 with significant improvements made in the factory to Drillwest specifications — onboard 900cfm x 350psi compressor, booster, cyclone, splitter and dust collector.
